Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Ashford Town Cricket Club will be held on Thursday 11th February 2010 at the Clubhouse at Stacians Park.

The format will be different this year in that there will be an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on the same evening directly preceding the AGM. This is to enable the membership to be fully briefed on the club’s financial position. To put it in very simple words - The harsh reality is that if the club is to continue at its present level then each and every member will be required to input far more than at present - a drastic change !! I cannot emphasise enough how much we need everybody’s support - It is now the only way the club will survive.

However, It’s not all doom and gloom as it is also a very exciting time as far more people will be involved in shaping the club and if everybody gets behind the fundraising initiatives required then the club should continue to grow both on and off the pitch and maintain the momentum we have built up over the last two years. I’m sure we will also have some fun along the way.

The EGM will start at 8.00pm directly followed by the AGM.

Nominations for the following positions must be made either in writing or by e-mail by Monday 8th February 2010. In the absence of a current Secretary these should be sent to me.

Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Fixture Secretary, Cricket Manager, 1st XI Captain, 2nd XI Captain, 3rd XI Captain, 4th XI Captain, Sunday EKL Captain, Sunday Friendly Captain.

No nominations will be accepted on the night unless a position has no applicants and somebody then comes forward.

Please make every effort to attend this crucial meeting.
