I knew our Sixes Tournament on Bank Holiday Monday would be rather special from two specific happenings. The Red Arrows flew in formation straight over Stacians Park during the lunch interval, and a particularly fragrant spectator swept alongside to purr "I'm related to WG Grace you know". SIX teams have entered Ashford Town Cricket Club's Six-a-Side tournament on Bank Holiday Monday (30th August). Tanners Tigers, the defending champions, again field a strong team, led by Steve Tanner. Teams can be entered for the biff, bang, wallop tournament right up to the scheduled 10am start time on Bank Holiday Monday. The Colts presentation Evening has now been changed to Friday 24th September. This is due to the double booking of the clubhouse. Please put this in your diary. It would be great to see all colts and parents there on the night to celebrate another successful colts season. Our touring party for this year has now been finalised and we shall be setting off "Up North" on Sunday 25th July 2010 for a packed programme of good cricket and socialising. We will be playing five matches Sunday through to Thursday and returning home on Friday in time for league cricket on the Saturday.
